Throwback Thursday, back to 1993. Not original art this time, but a recreation. The #CardboardCatsChallenge reminded me I used to turn paper chatterbox / fortune tellers into little animal puppets. Tonight I relearned the folds and made a black Harrowden cat. Maybe not much has changed. 🖤🐈

Pat Krupa's beautiful little monument has made its way from Berlin to Manchester. Raw steel. Concrete. Light. Somewhere between a lamp, a sculpture and a tiny industrial monument. Only two were ever made, and I'm incredibly lucky to have one of them. Huge thanks, Pat. ❤️

Throwback Thursday / end of week show and tell of old work Back to March 2016 with Dani Graves. I was making these punk profile portraits to practice 1 colour pen and ink for screen print designs, studying Charles Dana Gibson’s linework and pushing into something raw, scratchier and more punk. 🖤❤️

They saw Gauge Mother before they heard her. Moorfolk followed, forgotten waterboard folk who worked reservoirs, pipes and pumping stations till world forgot them. Gauge measured water pressure, they said. Moorfolk knew better. Bad pressure. Soul pressure. When needle climbed, nobody slept.

Finished 😻 Few weeks ago shared sneak peek of this collab with Berlin-based designer Pat Krupa (@patqrupa). Raw steel, concrete, light and shadow. Part object, part monument. Only two of these were made, and this one currently stands in Berlin. How awesome is this. 🖤❤️
