Upon reflection, it's impressive how widely used that one Brake SFX was -- not just in Thomas, but before and after Thomas itself. You know the one. From 'The International Sound Effects Library'. The sound you can hear from this GIF alone.

We got a book cover now. It's a cute art style. That's all I can say about this, really.

So while I'm waiting for Edward's gearbox and motor to arrive, another engine in my backlog of Awdry replicas has got me thinking. I'll say nothing more until I sort out the two main things I need to know regarding the build. But fingers cross I hope it does work. And if it does, I'll be very happy.

RANDOM THOUGHT: Folks have mentioned before about the "inaccessible siding" at Brendam Docks. But what puzzles me is how they set up the outskirts of the Docks in Series 8...from both directions, even. "By all accounts, it doesn't make sense." 😵

I know that folks will have a knee-jerk reaction to this, 'specially those who had expected a long hiatus after AEG... However, I say that "the proof is in the pudding". Meaning, let's wait and see and hope that lessons have been learnt from the last reboot. What worked, what didn't, etc.

I've always loved Hawk Eyed as it's basically Pop Goes the Diesel with the roles switched where instead of the diesel being careless and causing an accident, it's the steam engine that does it. I find that a pretty fun concept for a Thomas-inspired series.

Ballast is a very important part of any railway. Because of this the Sodor Railway Repair was always busy checking the sleepers to make sure the ballast was in its proper place & safe for the engines to ride on. This could cause delays but the engines knew it was for their safety #ttte
