In the summer lots of holiday makers would come to the Skarloey railway. All the engines liked to take them but Duke enjoyed it most of all. "It reminds me of the olden days" he would explain as the passengers would listen to tales of the Mid Sodor railway as they travelled. #ttte #trainz

On a roll with the stations lately- the platforms are nearly done in crovans gate, with a modified oxford pub as the main building. still on the fence about the footbridge, but it really seems like there should be one...

I find it interesting how often Thomas, Percy and Duck appeared in the first half of Series 4 (with the Narrow Gauge-focused eps). I know they were used to help the yards and station appear busy, but wouldn't it be fun to imagine actual stories or reasons for them being at Crovan's Gate...? 😎

Some years back I took this photo of Puffa's prop model for the animated series on top of the real engine. This was my first ever 3D printed model and although it's not much, I'm quite pleased with the turnout of it. Designed to run on the Hornby 0-4-0 chassis.

Changing things around here a bit. I'm going by my new handle as 'Old Coal'. As much as I liked NERailwayArtist, it did cause some confusion back on twitter, and it did seem to pigeonhole me as a purely rail artist. Hoping to change that as I go. The 'mascot' will still be an engine though.

Lower tidmouth station kinda! I have the bertram mine on my layout which uses the lower tid building (sans canopy) & although we never see the name of it I decided to call mine 'Coryndee.' in manx it would be derived from Cowryn Ny Dee (riches of god) seeing as its a gold mine
