So I made a few more City Hunter music inserts for Magic Railroad. Only chose ones I thought would work or sounded very fitting for the scenes given. This one features the song "Never Go Away" (1/?)

Finished the last of the 3am shifts. Came home at 1pm, had a small ramen lunch and went to bed to rest up. Didn't wake till 6pm, just shows how tired I was. Kept thinking it's Wednesday, but then these shift times does that to you. Anyways, two more days left and thats me done with this job.

Handed in my notice with my current job this morning. TBH it wasn't working out for me. The shift times were all over the place and messed up my sleep patterns badly. I even nearly got fired for mistaken identity last week! Now that alone sparks another reason when they don't know who you are.

I did do a version of this, but with the JP dub instead. To add a little creative license, I customised the subtitles to make Diesel 10 a little more threatening as well as lowering the pitch in his voice.

While I'm getting all the shots filmed for on the workshop's set for MRA, plans are put in place for the next set. Now this one is completely fictional and doesn't exist in the real world, but it's a set that I'm quite looking forward to making and it will require some planning. More to come soon.

Is it me or is Galaxy chocolate starting to taste a little bit like white chocolate? Maybe it's just me.

While I'm on a quick break, I thought I let you all know that I've resumed this project again. Ffarquhar is now off the exhibition curcit for the rest of the year due to my shift times. But this layout will hopefully keep my mind at bay during the rough times.

Finally, my 2 days off work have arrived. I've never been so tired and depressed since I was doing my 3rd year of university. Thats a side of me I don't want folk to see. Sad thing is it's all 3am shifts next week which I know will just about wreck me. Might be a good while before any MRA content 😞

Physically - barely able to stand up due to lack of sleep this past week. Mentally - Can't even think of an answer due to lack of sleep. I hate getting 3am shifts.

NGL this camera shot gives me strong Season 2 vibes. Which is funny, seeing as this is for Season 2 of Miniature Railway. LOL. While my new job is a bit...well...I will try and take some time to work more on this project.

So one week's training into my new job. I'm still not so sure about it, but I'm being urged to keep at it from both sides despite the complexity of it all. My shifts start very early this weekend so thats them written off for this week. But it doesn't work out, I'll see if there's other jobs about.

Starting a new job tomorrow, outside of my usual work in Children's TV, so work on The Miniature Railway Adventures will have to be halted for a while till I can get my head around the work required and know what my weekly shifts are like.

While last night was a hot evening, it was also a very positive evening with the required filming for the Miniature Railway Adventures test episode going really REALLY well. I've just pieced together the animated shots of the characterS with the NEW footage and it really does look amazing!!! 😁

New updated set now made and proper filming is going to take place this weekend. Will need to have a couple of these at the ready.

First look at Lady Grange's model prop before it goes on set tomorrow for its first bit of filming for the test episode of Miniature Railway Adventures. Really, REALLY pleased on how this turned out.

A couple of shots of the set during and after we filmed the diary insert. While none of the footage was useable, it did give me an idea on how to go about it next time around.

New Miniature Railway Adventure later tonight?

So I'm going to be taking my Ffarquhar layout off the exhibition circuit for a while for some small repairs and further upgrades are added to it. In the meantime this layout will be my next main focus in terms of exhibition modelling. I can't wait to resume work on it.

So I heard poor Thomas came off the rails at the Nene Valley Railway a few days ago. I just couldn't help but make this.

So another model show has come to an end. Turned out quite well and met a lot of nice people. Unfortunately Mavis' motor burnt out half way through day 1 of the show and all the spares I had were also showing signs of burnout. But she is due for a refurbish anyway. (1/2)

So with the layout going to the show tomorrow, here's some new items of rolling stock which completes the passenger stock for the layout. The Enthusiast's Saloon train which makes its appearance in Sequence 3 of the running session. These will be hauled by Stepney and Oliver in turn.

While there were rooms for improvement, I actually quite enjoyed the Netflix adaption. So I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the next one.

So the last of the rolling stock for Ffarquhar has now been completed and ready to go for the show this weekend. I will be on the look out for a new guest engine for the enthusiasts trains, but have the suspicion that an unexpected spare 'Goods Engine' might have stow away in the stock box. Hmmm.

So I took my Fat Controller figure to my miniature railway club at the weekend and the huge positive feedback it got from everyone was amazing. Most of the response from them was to ask me to make more, though I'll only make 3 more figures as thats all I wish to make.

Getting things ready now for this coming weekend as my Ffarquhar Layout will be having its first exhibition of the year. NDMRS is my favourite show to exhibit at and I can't wait for what's in store for this weekend. Hopefully a new guest engine will be obtained at this show too.

I think we'll call this figure done for now. really pleased on how this turned out. Think I'll try a driver figure next.

Progress on this fella.

I had some filament spare so I thought I'd make one of my own. Still have quite a bit of sanding to do before I can start painting and I need a pointing angled arm too. Appearance wise, he's going to resemble how it looks in Series 2 as I always liked that version.

My replica model of Henry is now in the state the original model currently is in, just needs some finalising with the chassis block to the correct position. The next stage is seeing how the valve gear assembly can be reassembled by combining the Farish and the Tri-ang complaints together.

2 Weeks until my Ffarquhar Branch's first show of the year starts. Hoping to have Stepney's Enthusiasts train completed before then. Only a few small details and painting is left to do to them before they're ready to go out.

How could a whole box of Humbrol paints go missing so quickly? No sooner have I bought something for my modelling, it goes missing so quickly. But we're talking a whole box full of paints here. Can't find anything these days.

Might as well share a new BTS pic for the current status of Miniature Railway Adventures's animated test episode. A slight update to one of the set dressings which I think is a big improvement.

Thomas is getting ready for his first exhibition for this year. After doing his test runs with Annie and Clarabel, he retires for the night ready for another day to dawn.

Casey and Whitehouse have been feeling a little down lately. They recently got some news from Michael during his recent visit and since then had been very quiet all day as they went about their work. Would anyone know of anything that could help cheer them up? ~ Jane.
