An under appreciated thing about Star Trek TOS's Enterprise is how bleepy it is. Look up a video of TOS bridge ambiance and compare it to TNG bridge ambiance. The 1701- makes way more bleepy bloops than the 1701-D. It's very charming and I think better communicates the vibes of a science vessel.

Revisiting Star Trek VI cause I'm in need of a comfort watch. Seriously only like 10 minutes in and I'm reminded just how GOOD this movie is. I still think it's the best Star Trek movie.

I've not finished watching the series yet but I still wish there were more Star Trek Lower Decks. It's a fun show with characters I adore in a universe I wish I could live in. Iron Lung vs. Send Help is not a David vs. Goliath narrative. Send Help IS technically distributed by Disney, and Sam Raimi IS a historically successful director. BUT Raimi isn't really a household name and an R-rated black comedy survival thriller isn't really poised to be a massive hit.

Sitting in a theater for the 5th time in 2026 and the 4th time seeing a new release film. I've essentially been seeing a theatrical movie a week all year.

So I liked Iron Lung, and Return to Silent Hill both a lot, but if I'm honest I found neither particularly scary and I'm left wanting. Anyone got any suggestions to make a horror movie veteran shit themself? I'm especially fond of psychological horror. Last movie to really get me was The Babadook.

I'm kind of annoyed at the narrative people are building that the film industry establishment is scared of Markiplier's success with Iron Lung. They're almost certainly not. You see to be scared would require foresight, and humility, neither of which come naturally to the average CEO.

Got back from seeing Iron Lung. Solid movie. I wish it committed harder to it's slow pace and oppressive tone. Some of the directorial decisions felt more style than substance like it tried very hard to be stylish because it was worried we would be bored. I could have stood to be a little more bored

110% blown away by Retro Fighters's customer service and product quality! I noticed a controller of theirs I bought a year ago had some issues so I contacted customer service and after one or two questions they offered to just send me a replacement!

On one hand package tracking is GREAT! You can with reasonable accuracy guess to a window of a few hours when a package is going to arrive. On the other hand it sucks cause you can get stuck refreshing the tracking page over and over during the delivery window to see if it's been delivered yet.🙃

Videogame idea: licensed Saw videogame but it's a management sim. You select victims, design "games", and train and assign acolytes. Your success is measured by how many victims survive and also become your acolytes to so your endeavors expand.

Finished the Return to Silent Hill novelization. Not exactly a great novel but then that's not really what it's supposed to be. Its worth reading if only as a look at what the movie might have been like if it were allowed to be longer, and you know what? It would have been better.

Halfway through the novelization and it's really good!? Just in the first half, it's better paced and more complete with critical details that didn't make it to the film. If this is a peek at what the film was supposed to be before producers murdered it in post then we NEED a Director's cut!

I know this isn't like scientific or anything, but when I was snowed in over the weekend I played through the original version of Silent Hill 2 pretty much without stopping. The next night I played the Remake on my PC and got bored after like less than an hour. Guys... I think the remake is worse

So umm Return to Silent Hill was actually REALLY good. This would be easier to deal with if everyone else didn't like it.

OMFG I just read someone online compare the Silent Hill 2 remake to Peter Jackson's King Kong and YES! Clearly a labor of love made by a fan of the material, but way too long and indulgent to work as a re-watchable classic in its own right.

The only Metal Gear hot take that annoys me is "Metal Gear Solid 2 sucks". It might not be peak, hell I can see an argument for it being poorly written and paced. But it's DAMNED clever and it's arcady stealth systems are tight and satisfying.
