There is a reason why Witkoff did not want any officials with the State Dept or anyone else present during his many meetings w/Putin - he didn’t want witnesses to his treasonous behavior. Highly unusual, but makes perfect sense when you consider that he only cared about Russia.

At this point, we should amend the EU treaties and national legislation to enable this While that process goes through its phases, we should ask the Norwegians to lend 200 billion euros to Ukraine which they then get back when the process to confiscate Russia's central bank reserves is completed.

Steve Witkoff helped Russia derail Ukraine’s access to Tomahawk missiles. He tipped off the Kremlin about Zelensky’s U.S. visit, giving Moscow time to arrange a call that convinced Trump to block the deal. Witkoff actively works against Ukraine’s defense, in coordination with Putin’s regime.

In any normal times, Witkoff would be forced to resign after this. But these are not normal times. Far from it. Witkoff will probably still be around to sabotage Ukraine.

Now the new plan is a nonstarter for Russia. This whole episode was just an embarrassing and useless fire-drill. While Trump couldn’t care less about Ukraine, he’s foolish to believe he could force an ultimatum and more foolish to not realize he’s being endlessly played by Putin.

Russia’s proposal called for Ukraine’s capitulation. Presented as an ultimatum to Ukraine, it was designed to be rejected to drive a wedge between Ukraine and the U.S. The rational evolution of a rational US-Ukraine plan evolved when the Dim-Witt Trump ultimatum was lambasted by everyone.

Good to see the U.S. and Ukraine agree to a joint peace plan. However, this plan is irrelevant. Russia never proposed a legitimate plan. The 28 point “Dim-Witt” plan was an influence operation rather than a plan for a just and lasting peace.

But yes, combined with the ease of travel from Schengen this pretty much allows same-sex couples in countries where same-sex marriage is not legal to get married.

Not to nitpick, but this is more the equivalent of the 2013 Windsor ruling (which mandated states recognize other states' same-sex marriages) rather than Obergefell (which required all states perform same-sex marriages)
