Now, we did have big pick-ups in the past. They weren't marketed the same way as present. Even higher trims were spartan compared to the sedans and wagons of the era. Crew cabs were literally for your work crew. A higher trim might be for taking your family to the feed store and brunch.

This what a truck should be, and I LUV it. This is both practical and fun. This is the truck style/culture that was lost with the Chicken Tax and CAFE.
