WonderSwan Color Tetris is amazing. It could be better than the Gameboy version even.

One of my children was awake all night very upset. So in turn I was up most of the night too. I feel today will require at least 2 breakfasts before work.

I do seriously think that the reason I enjoy computers and programming so much is that we had a Mr Do! arcade machine in the kitchen when I was about 3 or 4. This was followed by a BBC Model B when I was 5 which had the excellent Mr Ee! And of course BBC Basic, and magazines with type in programs

Johnny makes videos on a lot of interesting machines you don’t see in many (or any) other videos. Definitely worth a watch along with his many other videos imo.

Joe did great work on those screens. They look factory fitted. I also had to edit some graphics for one of the games and ended up using Deluxe Paint loaded from floppy disk on an Amiga 500 with a 30 year old mouse. It was quicker and easier than using any of more modern tools, and more fun too.

My 3 year old now loves playing Bubsy so all the blood, sweat and tears were worth it just to hear the wise words he shouts whilst playing it.

I think I can make a pico psu work for this fairly safely. I watched the excellent @markfixesstuff.com video on putting a mean well in the Einstein psu case but it looks like there is too much scope for me to make a fatal mistake to try it

I was inspired by @breakintoprogram.co.uk and his Tatung Einstein cross compiler demo at RetroFest a few months ago and bought one from eBay. Now I must figure out how to clean it up and fix all the probably broken bits before I even do the interfacing side. The kitchen hob makes a good workbench.

I was going to dismantle and clean a Super Famicom this evening but it now looks like one of the kids wants to watch Superman 3, one of the greatest films ever made.

2 Goteks (one for a Super Wild Card and one for spare) and a 16k internal ram upgrade for the ZX81 arrived on the same day. I might actually get something fixed and working before Christmas at this rate!

Everything on the internet is becoming a predictive text training toilet.

My visit to Bristol Gaming Market wasn't too bad. Picked up a couple of interesting bootlegs and a few accessories. I didn't see a single 6 button Mega Drive pad or an un-modded Game Gear which was a disappointment. Also, some of the pricing was a little unrealistic, or maybe my expectations were.

Booting up the Atari STE for some fun and games and also the gross smell of old nicotine stained electronics. whoever owned this before me had a serious habit.

I actually remembered to water the plants in the garden! Hopefully the slightly dehydrated ones will spring back to life. Probably more likely I now have a nice collection of dead potted plants.

My youngest child had a bit of a meltdown at the park cafe today. It was so loud she made a motorcyclist leave their table and walk off back to their bike in disgust. I've never been so proud.

Trying to get a Gotek working on the Atari ST is a lot of fun. I've even managed to add an oled display without breaking anything and I might even get to play a game on it this weekend.

I finally own an Atari STE. I had a STFM as a teenager and was always jealous of those with stereo sound and relatively easy RAM upgrades. It needs a very deep clean and who knows what else, but it's still cool.

My 3 Year old Son is better at the Megadrive games I played as a teenager than I am as a middle-aged adult and that's both impressive and disappointing at the same time.

Today's delivery is a ZX81. I have no idea exactly what I should be doing with it with regards to restoration/upgrades but I'm pretty sure having the power input be exactly the same connector type as the ear/mic socket is probably something that should be changed at a minimum.

Finally got myself a vinyl copy of one of my favourite @wearedelasoul.com albums. It's timeless.

My trip to RetroFest was a lot of fun. Personal highlights were seeing @breakintoprogram.co.uk's Einstein cross compiling dev setup, the various builds of @leesmithsworkshop.bsky.social's Mechtrum which were amazing in person, and in general just seeing all the old Micros up and running. Amazing.

Only a few days until RetroFest which will be an interesting and fun experience as I usually retro nerd-out in relative isolation.

The PS5 is such a weird and annoying shape with regards to desk space. I wonder if there is a 3d print to make the top flatter so I can store desk junk more easily.

My pre-order of the Tang Retro Console arrived. It's smaller and requires less guff plugged in than the MiSTer so it might actually fit on my desk. The lack of a working SD Card slot is very disappointing though, the USB passthrough solution is not going to survive much abuse.

Last bit of space for Mega Drive games. I must choose wisely.

Oh no, more dead ZX Spectrums. This batch had a legit Kempston joystick interface, which I had never seen in person before.
