This is economic warfare by the rich against the rest. The point and purpose of the Labour Party was to resist such attacks. Starmer and Reeves have turned their party into the opposite of what it once was.

Capital demands that: 1. The government must strip away sensible rules which prevent businesses from attacking the public good. 2. The government must constrain *itself* with insanely restrictive pledges, such as Rachel Reeves's fiscal rules. 3. Protesters challenging capital must be locked up.

Cutting "red tape" (aka public protections), as Reeves is doing, does not save money. Instead, it transfers costs from the rich to the poor. Other people pay for financial recklessness, filthy rivers, air pollution, lax building standards and consumer rip-offs. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
