Damn, so it was enough to - export Notion data to markdown - ask gpt for a couple of scripts - import it to @obsidian.md with their new Bases plugin - tweak stuff and now I have MY DATABASE of over 3200 entries with album ratings and reviews (with sorting and filtering) on MY DRIVE. OFFLINE.

Can someone explain how cellular networks work these days? It used to be that the signal strength was the determining factor. Now the number of bars don’t matter but just the network type, where 5G+ works and 5G, 5Ge, and LTE mean that you’re offline and can’t connect to anything at all.

One of the things I like about Dylan — and, for example, Springsteen — is that they’re not afraid to experiment with their sound and song arrangements. I absolutely adore some of the versions of his hits that Dylan played at those Budokan gigs. Another new addition to my vinyl collection :D

Came back home after a few days off in the forest and suddenly felt the urge to listen to some ’80s filth to get my brain back into city mode.

I’m surprised by Dodskold: “Ödesriket.” I had no idea what it was, though the cover art was pretty telling, but it could’ve gone either way in terms of quality. After first listen: it’s really good. It’s like Burzum mixed with that peculiar brand of Swedish melodicism & their majestic depression.

In another episode of supporting the underground — Blood Chalice: “Sepulchral Chants of Self-Destruction.” Very good black metal in the vein of Archgoat, with some war metal tropes here and there.

A collection of Samael’s 7” I ordered months ago finally arrived! I missed the first edition on picture discs ’cause I don’t care for picture discs, but when they announced a new edition on black vinyl, it was a no-brainer :D

Uhh, the first section of this book is an absolute slog — it’s like listening to Captain Holt talk for hours on end about the merits of the famous Dutch flautist Frans Brüggen. Hopefully, it gets better soon.

Falling asleep with this album playing in your headphones is definitely… an experience.

Part 2 of "I'm revisiting some music lately". I really like this album, or maybe the CONCEPT of this album, but the reliance on distorted high tones and overdriven screeching in this type of music is something I, unfortunately, just can't stand.
