Been playing around with the new quickbar in Marble Game and it was worth it. Much better now. Although I want to try one more thing: The quickbar is a fix for the main build menu being a bit cumbersome. I have an idea I want to try to see if I can improve that, too.

A co-op horror comedy, where your gang tries to loot as much as possible without summoning the mutated pets that defend the town. New quickbar is in place. For now this'll do. I think I am gonna add some auto-hiding once I get UI animations going. Still not sure if the player should decide in which slots new parts getting added cause personally I am kinda into the FIFO style. Less inputs, quicker iteration.

Not gonna lie, I'm a little in love with Star Trek: Prodigy. I was hesitant initially because of the "made for younger audience", but this is just an amazing Trek adventure and I can't wait to see where it goes.

Mildly not-panicking due to Marble Game playtesters having gone quiet and I'm not sure if they're just waiting for the full game, busy with other things or just go "this was fun for 5 minutes - next game".

I just started watching Star Trek: Prodigy and holy hell that show is good!

The other day I mentioned that when I first played SH2, I didn't pick up on all the symbolism of the game. Well that surely wouldn't have happened with the Remake. That game is about as subtle as as a bag of bricks. And I've only played about an hour of it. Then again I DO know the original.

Not gonna lie, two games I would love to make one day would be: a) a Heretic-like game that feels like Heretic b) a liminal space horror game Problem with both these are... these are the types of games that lose their magic once I look behind the scenes. Wouldn't have much fun playing them.

When I first played Silent Hill 2, I really didn't pick up on all the symbolic meaning of every other pixel the game subscribes meaning to. Always been a bit slow with that shit. Especially since the first game's symbolism was mainly: "there's demons and rituals man and fire cause alessa burned"

Unreal 5 is currently completely frozen because I opened too many files. So it tries to allocate between 16 and 26 GB of RAM of my 32GB - which Windows thinks is a usaage percentage of 75% to 95%. I was never good at math, but I think that's bullshit.

Spawn snapping just got a bit smarter. Some parts of Marble Game are very flexible in their use. Like pipes make sense horizontally and vertically. For such ambiguity, the game now auto-determines the alignment of a connection. Works pretty well. #godotengine

I think this weekend I'll revive my ol DeskMini again. Has only a Ryzen 2400g in it, but for a lot of the things I do a day, it's enough. Especially some "listen to podcast/watch Youtube while playing Nintendo" I don't have to let my workstation run. Just a waste of power.

When I thought of being able to move around multiple parts at the same time, I thought how complicated it would be to prevent the player from clipping them into the ground. But turns out my implementation just automagically takes care of it.

I love to live in a world where I can say that I was working on making a horror bunny poop pumpkins. I've worked on quite a few projects for Terrible Posture Games, but this one, Good Boy, is shaping up to be the most bonkers one, yet. And I mean that in the best (and most bonkers) way possible.
