Saw a fireball in the 6 am sky while running on Fri. Today I learned of the American Meteor Society & their fireball database. It's built using witness submissions & AMS folks group together ones where people saw the same one. There were 6 others who saw the one I did. Pretty interesting!

This year, my church started a new program where folks could apply for a grant to help fund something to do some good in the community. In July I got one and used the funds to supply a local nonprofit which gives free immigration legal services with outfits for clients to wear to court. 1

Took the girls with me to get this awesome birria. While we waited there was a TV playing music videos & they were loving the songs, with our three year old dancing to the tunes. One video had women twerking, and she shouted out, "I'm doing what the girls are doing!" as she started shaking her butt.

Had an opportunity today to get together with someone today, rekindling a friendship that a less mature me torpedoed years and years ago. It was really nice.
