Libraries fucking rule. Like, what do you mean I can read all this manga at no cost to me?

Great thread, though I'd add one clarification: not all libraries that use Libby look at the "Notify Me" tag to plan acquisitions! So if you feel like your library ignores your Libby asks, maybe check if they have another way to make suggestions. 👍

Some thoughts on @draft2digital.bsky.social 's absolutely horrendous fees, beyond "wow they fucking suck, huh?" 1) This is a gift to Amazon and Kindle Unlimited. KU authors who already don't think they can move out won't want to eat that $20 fee only to make peanuts and get hit with another $12

Ah man, DraftToDigital/ D2D are going to start charging us $12 USD a year for not earning 100 USD+ a year, on May 14th. I'm tempted to go back to direct with Kobo (who do Overdrive), use Bookvault as my distributor & focus on Itchio and direct sales at this point. What are your thoughts authors?
