Please stop saying things like "We had to vote for Carney, it was the only alternative to PP". It's just not true. In fact, that kind of thinking made and continues to make things worse. 🧵

So municipalities like
#HamOnt

The federal government is currently making an announcement about new funding for women and 2SLGBTQIA+ organizations. This pre-budget announcement (and the new funding) is happening *entirely* because of all the public outcry and pressure we've mounted over the last few months re: cutting WAGE by 81%

Carney’s attack on the public postal service isn’t just brutal austerity—it’s a missed opportunity. Dru Oja Jay argues the government could harness the unparalleled infrastructure of the postal network to offer public banking, elder check-ins, and more.

It's pretty wild to me that investigators have uncovered that anti-trans campaigns are largely funded by the fossil fuel industry, and that the presumed motivations are pretty directly to redirect the public conversation away from climate change... and that this isn't bigger news.
