While I am deep in a writing funk/mental health terribleness, I'm still going to try to engage in #HorrorWritersChat tonight. It's actually something that keeps me going these days, which is nice.

I’m awake far too early. This is because my nose was itching intolerably and my stomach decided it was Cereal Time. Back to sleep 😴

Dentist = done Shopping = done Now time to confine my anxiety to my flat for many hours…

I'm now permanently signed off from having to work. But I'm a person who likes to keep busy (spoons, energy, medical appointments etc not withstanding) and I will keep writing until I'm no longer able. Please keep buying, reading, reviewing and spreading the word about my books.

Not left the flat yet today. Usual brain fog and lack of primary goal, even though there is the goal of acquiring dinner ingredients. But I don’t know what to have for dinner.

On the one hand, take advantage of other writers offering to share book posts. On the other hand, shake fist every time FM26 crashes. My life is a rollercoaster.

Playing more of FM26 on console. For sure, it’s broken to all hell, but under the bugs and poor UI is a decent football manager game. But by god, this attitude of releasing games before they’re finished is killing the gaming industry.

Today I’ve figured out some further narrative beats for two book ideas. Now just need to remember to write them down…

And it fostered other horrible behavior. Like if you were autistic, you could get a following but you’d damn well better be ready to talk endlessly about trauma and how hard it was to be autistic for attention and sympathy. And that got exhausting.

I think I became a victim of the algorithm. I didn’t discuss the popular things and it made me very alone while my mental health was on fire. And it forced me to engage with things I didn’t care about.
