For all the Stephen King fans out there, have you read Monster in the Archives? It's written by a Shakespeare professor and King fan who got access to various drafts of his books and compares them to see how he rewrote and edited the books before publication. Fascinating. #horrorwriterschat

The Blood Gospel is definitely a spiritual successor to the Lestat books. I read all her books, gothic books, watched tons of gothic movies, immersed myself in that world while I was writing them. Not just Anne Rice, but also her. #horrorwriterschat
