Several Mothers* Rebellion groups will be joining @ourkidsclimate campaign for clean air #OurKidsAir this coming couple of weeks. Over 90% of children worldwide are breathing toxic air and almost 2,000 children die every day from air pollution. It is the world´s biggest environmental health risk.

When extreme weather disasters strike, women and children are 14 times more likely to die than men, mostly due to limited access to information, limited mobility, decision-making, and resources. An estimated 4 out of 5 people displaced by the impacts of climate change are women and girls.

Extinction Rebellion have dressed as Suffragettes on Cornmarket in protest against prison sentences for climate activists. Sixteen protestors from Just Stop Oil are appearing against imprisonment next week. XR Oxford say that the Suffragettes were ‘also political prisoners derided in their day’.
