Current school has 1st years taking AP Gov - how can any college take that seriously? At former school, AP Bio used for first years. They didn’t test, but they did fine. How can any college consider AP Bio college-level? (CB has tried many times to redo AP Bio - it’s still just 9th grade bio)🫤

If College Board is going to use AI to grade FRQs then I am going spend a lot of time telling my students and parents to re-evaluate the amount of emotional buy-in they give this test.

Making our students proficient in how to offload their thinking onto a machine so they'll never have to think for themselves. A real winning proposition right there.

Parents and students depend on AP credits to reduce the costs of college and to show they're competitive academically for applications. There's no choice: take the AP with AI or lose it. Students and parents deserve an option to opt out of having their answers used as AI training data AT MINIMUM.

There is so, so much wrong with this but I cannot believe the @collegeboard.org is charging students to give them their intellectual property and then using it to train their own AI. Students cannot give consent with the CB holding credit over their heads. Inconceivably evil.

It took me longer than I'm comfortable admitting to realize that this was satire...

You can’t really learn much if you’re having AI generate your homework, your papers, and everything else you need to complete a class, but for some reason universities keep shoving AI into the learning environment on the assumption that it’s an improvement.

Attendance should have an impact on if you can earn credit for a class.

I would read an article, heck even an entire book, that deals with this exact post. Would be a fascinating read.
