2/2 Then I travelled to Ireland to work with @powercomposer.bsky.social on a new project for @soundscotland.bsky.social Using field recordings from the polar regions we were engaged in deep listening learning how the timbres of the viola weave with the changing ice. @creativescots.bsky.social

I've avoided playing Mendelssohn's Elijah for decades as it hurts so much to play (much stamina required!) but ahead of @rsno.bsky.social 's performance at #EdinburghInternationalFestival I'm listening to it and reminding myself what a gorgeous, lush piece of music it is. Can't wait!
