The one thing I want for people to do during the Trans Rights Readathon this year is uplift indie trans authors. We work incredibly hard to write authentic books only to be buried under the same 20 trad pub book suggestions every year.

What's going on doesn't kill my drive to create, instead it crystalizes how important it is for trans people to record, lament, resist, celebrate and dream of a better future through various art forms. The more we create, the harder we are to erase from the collective consciousness.
