UPDATE: Sinclair is NOT going to broadcast Jimmy Kimmel, even though ABC is resuming production. Sinclair has demanded that Kimmel personally donate to Turning Point USA, a right-wing political organization. David Smith, executive chairman of Sinclair, donated 250K to Turning Point USA last year.

This just in from Sinclair: "Beginning Tuesday night Sinclair will be preempting 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' across our ABC affiliate stations and replacing it with news programming. Discussions with ABC are ongoing as we evaluate the show's potential return."

Time to boycott any and all of Sinclair advertisers

While ppl are boycotting Disney a reminder that Sinclair and Nexstar are also the problem. They started this. Canceling Disney subscriptions hurts Disney but does nothing to Sinclair/Nexstar. We also need to boycott companies that advertise on Nexstar and Sinclair stations.

Then contact the sponsors and tell them you're boycotting them and why. They do not expect to be contacted.

I talked on MSNBC today about the corruption playing out at the FCC. This isn't just about Jimmy Kimmel being silenced. The FCC is planning to change the rules to allow the company that shut down Kimmel to have a monopoly-like stake in local TV ownership.
