Two weeks to launch. There is a strong chance I drink enough coffee in the next 14 days that I become transfigured into a sentient coffee bean.

Excited to check out Silent Hill F this weekend but have been having a lot of fun wrapping up Cronos: The New Dawn first. Extremely atmospheric and challenging. Would love to see a sequel that doubles down on what the game does well and smooths out the rough edges.

Played through this three months ago or so. Excellent way to revisit one of the greatest games of all time. Tons of toggles so you can customize the level of modern enhancements you want. It's also free as long as you own the base game. Can install it directly from Steam workshop.

I really liked Alien: Earth. Strong balance of playing the hits and tackling some of the quieter, more interesting bits of that universe (synths, cyborgs, corps). Probably the best bit of Alien media since Aliens, sans maybe Isolation.

Silksong is overly mean, deeply obtuse in many ways that are more annoying than interesting, and the Celeste-esque platforming makes me want to scream. ….I’ve put in 50 hours and can’t stop playing.

There’s nothing quite like Lodge 49. Character-driven, novel-esque ambitions, dry humor and a big heart. Was doomed from the start but grateful two seasons of it exist.

I wish beating a boss in Silksong gave me…literally anything as a reward besides lifting a progression blocker. At least let me have some rosaries or something so I don’t have to go farm them for an hour to unlock items. C’mon man.

I like Silksong but man some of these fights are MEAN in a way I wasn’t expecting. Not necessarily a flaw most of the time but i don’t love that bad luck with a boss’s projectile and normal move intersecting can result in an unwinnable situation.

This is an appalling insult to of one of the world's greatest artists. Disgusting.

Spent some of today catching up on MCU stuff and Thor: Love and Thunder is…absolutely fine and pretty enjoyable for the most part? Not the disaster I had been led to believe it was.

Finally watched some Bloodlines 2 gameplay. Seems extremely polished (contextually speaking) but largely uninterested in being an RPG, or at the least same lane of RPG the original was. Don't love that but still hoping for a game that's a world worth coming back to.

It is reductive to call Norco a successor to Kentucky Route Zero but it’s also the only game that comes close to matching the former’s ambitions and level of craft while also carving out its own (angrier) tone. It was already a steal at full price.
