I almost got the ambulance stuck at our "temporary" depot last night. It's actually a school bus depot we are renting a bay from but because of that, they only plow on schooldays. 🚑🥶

In addition I'm also kind of starved for social interaction. Working over the holidays hasn't been the best for my social battery and immediately catching a cold/flu means I may not get any these days off either 🥺

And the other night I made a buffalo chicken Mac and cheese bake. Made with ground chimken and chickpea pasta. It was pretty okay. #cookingfurs

I've fallen a little behind in showing you all what I've been cooking. Breakfast was blueberry waffles. These might be the last waffles I make with this machine. I splurged and ordered a new waffle maker for myself as a little holiday gift.

Holy fuck I'm bagged and all I did was drive to get groceries. This virus is absolutely sapping my energy. I guess no walkies today, I need a nap.

Hmmm. Milestone birthday coming up in 2026 (I'm thinking about turning 35 again). Kind of wonder how I should celebrate. Not many of my friends live here. Might be worth delaying and inviting people to dinner at Fur Eh to celebrate? Got a few months to think about it 😂🐆

Why do we expect Canada Post to turn a profit at all? Make it a branch of the government like the Canadian Forces or Environment Canada. Either that or I demand that Parliament start turning a profit to prove to me that we really need that many useless senators.

Get this into your rotted capitalist brains: Canada Post is a service and Crown corporation, not a private enterprise. Stop calling it a “bottomless money pit”. The more you all focus on how it needs to be profitable, the more service cuts there will be, to the detriment of all residents in Canada.

Today's walkies were more or less the same. The windchill was worse, I think, necessitating the hood be pulled up more. But the same minimal snowfall for the first half and windy heavy snow for the walk back. Also none of the sidewalks have been plowed since yesterday so they are worse. 🥶🐆

Time for a boring xmas fact about the chee. For a very long time I worked for a toy/game/comic store and I survived many holiday seasons. I was also responsible for getting the music to play on the PA system, usually a local radio station. But for xmas time I would find an internet stream to play.
