Disabled people should not be forced into institutions just because you don’t think they “deserve” housing and support. Institutions cost the tax payer more money, but they also rob people of autonomy and control. With adequate support we can retain our independence which helps us thrive.

Great to hear the news that NHSGGC have signed a pledge for screening for people with Learning Disabilities ie' #LearingDisabilityHealthCheck this will include cervical screening, bowel screening, breast screening, abdominal aortic aneurysm screening and diabetic eye screening.
