I don't use "AI" to communicate because I enjoy communicating. I don't use "AI" to edit videos because I enjoy video editing. I don't use "AI" in my music because I enjoy making it. I'm not judging anyone else, but for me it's really that simple.

Returned late yesterday from VCF Southeast in Atlanta, Georgia. The band played a great set (our second time all on stage together), and we had a lot of fun being amongst our people. There'll probably be some photos posted on our website sometime tonight. It takes a while to copy them over floppy.

I don't enjoy when national media covers Minneapolis and gets oodles of local details wrong.

On days like today, Bluesky could really use the Mastodon feature where you can privately leave a "personal note" on someone's profile explaining to yourself why you muted/blocked them. I might mute for sanity and forget why later- a feature like that would make this space easier to navigate.
