I slipped some food scraps into the warm house while the possum was in there and he not only didn’t eat them. He left and hasn’t come back. Damn it I was trying to help.

Got a picture of my possum that’s taken over my little warming house. So tame and not at all concerned that I’m peeking in on it. I didn’t realize how tortie like their fur patterns are.

She’s less photogenic than my other one so I don’t get as many pictures of her (she also exclusively snuggles me with her butt) but Bobbi deserves so much love for being the smartest and the prettiest of my two cats. Also for surviving living with her terrorist brother Simon.

The more I see videos of oriental shorthairs the more I’m convinced that Simon has at least ten percent of them in his blood. The mannerisms. The elongated heads. The goblin crouch as a resting position. The facial expressions. I know he’s also very orange tabby but he’s got something exotic there

Alright I’m sharing here too bc my timeline needs something that’s NOT depressing for a hot minute. I took little miss dog client to the vet today to get 13 teeth removed and she came back out looking like Snoop Dogg and I just need to share her funny High as a Kite face.

I am attempting to show Simon the cone of shame when he starts thinking about shenanigans. So far so good but things have stayed minor so far. I wish he responded to the bad kitty can as well as Bobbi but that one has absolutely zero effect on Simon. Bobbi only needs one reminder with that.

I’m cat sitting a friends cat while they’re on vacation and this gal makes biscuits on me for the whole hour I’m here. The bakery is fully stocked. She’s a good little worker.

Idk if Simon seems to know that tackling Bobbi could somehow be dangerous to him if she bunny kicks him in the belly but he hasn’t tried it yet, despite him definitely feeling pretty much 100% again. Can’t believe one week ago he had to get cut open and now he’s like “it was whatever”

In all my hopes of helping stray kitties with my kitty warming house where I also keep water and some kibble, I’ve just been helping out the local possums lol.

Simon has eaten a lot these last few days but he is still so skinny. He was already battling being borderline underweight at his last vet visit before all this happened. I just want him to get back up to a healthy weight. Bring back the little primordial pooch he had going on please.

My eyes have been given the dilating drops. Can’t wait to turn into a boomer as I try to read my phone while I wait for them to take effect.

Both me and Simon are ready to be done with the cone. Everything would be easier with a surgical onesie. I’d order one on Amazon but I fear by the time it got here the need for it would be past.

Me and the cats are back home. Simon is eating with more gusto which is good because he’s lost so much weight now I can feel his spine. He also hates the cone so much. I let him have breaks as long as I can watch him to make sure he’s not going at his incision. So nice to be home again though.
