It's a month until #CleanAirNight, a campaign that raises awareness of the impact of wood burning on #Health & #AirPollution. People contact us every week due to being impacted by others' burning. Can you help us share the facts? Burning pollutes not only your home, but your local community too.

If there's one point that needs hammering home, it's that there's no such thing as 'clean' combustion. You can have 'cleaner', but that always needs to be qualified.

The updated 2022 baseline, concentration and exposure data shows us there is clearly a lot more work to do on #WoodBurning in London. We need stronger action from both DEFRA and @london.gov.uk to reduce unnecessary burning in London. data.london.gov.uk/dataset/lond...

Action on #WoodBurning is long overdue. We began campaigning on this in 2020. Since then we’ve sent out 25,000+ flyers, repeatedly shone a light on the inadequate enforcement mechanism in Smoke Control Areas, and highlighted, as the goverment has not, the #AirPollution & #Health impact of burning.

We’ve been urging the government to commit to stronger targets for years, so we're pleased that the government has finally listened. The devil is in the detail. #AirPollution is largely below these levels already across the country and is still making hundreds of thousands of people sick.

How much #AirPollution is created when you burn wood? 👉 Defra approved/#Ecodesign stove = 400 times more polluting than a gas boiler. 👉 Open fire = 4000 times more polluting than a gas boiler. Please think twice about burning if you don't need to. #WoodBurning

Using heat from #DataCentres should be standard. We need regulation. They use ~2.5% of UK's electricity (x4 by 2030) Big ones MUST use renewables & ones like these supported. Thermify put small data centres into homes. Generated heat warms the home. Thermify charges customers for data work
