I haven't written seriously in a LONG time, but I absolutely love the 80/20 rule when it comes to writing. Just release something at 80% of what you think it should be, and let the audience tell you the next 20% to improve. Don't let perfection keep you from making progress

Something else I noticed about the vibe last night was EVERYONE seemed to be having a blast, even folks that weren't crushing every game. Faction based sets and seeded packs are probably one of the best things for prereleases and helping players feel like they get to do the thing they want to do.

Didn’t get a good pic last night, but the pre was a n easy 3-0. Cauldron of Essence is insane, prepared spells are are some and casting ancestral recall in a prerelease format is unfair. Berta MIGHT have been the MVP though. That card does work.

I love the design space on this card. I don’t even have a deck for it atm(I took apart ukima/cazur) but this is such a cool way to explore the hybrid mana and converge mechanics together.

Would you say this card is likely to make Path to Exile numbers “erode” a bit? Path is one of the most played cards in the ENTIRE format at over 1.85 MILLION decks, with a 47% inclusion rate. Erode doesn’t exile but hits planeswalkers instead. Is this trade off worth it or will you play them both?

Strixhaven so far has just been "what if we revisited every banger and modernized it?" and I can't be convinced otherwise

I want to trademark the term "manasplain" when someone is confidently wrong about their deck and how it works so I have to gently explain how they're incorrect

A trend I've noticed myself following in my decks is moving away from one time effects and trying to find reasonable engines for sustained boosts, especially in the card draw category. 8 of 10 draw cards in my Hare Apparent deck are engines vs 1 time effects and it's been a huge boon
