This Saturday (May 10th) is the annual 2025 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive! Leave unopened shelf-stable food in a bag near where your letter carrier delivers your mail. They'll bring the food to a local pantry for folks in need. Please share widely; every act of kindness is an act of defiance.

I had the hare-brained idea to get up at 5am to shovel the snow before the freezing rain came. J came up to bed at 4:30 and offered to go out to shovel with me if I were ready to get up. Reader, we shoveled. It was actually quite fun. And now we don't have to struggle with wet heavy gloppy snow.
