Many children tell us they want to walk or cycle to school but they are currently deprived of that choice because they don’t feel safe. This week in Westminster, I led a debate on how we can make our streets safer and give children the freedom to travel actively to school.

Busy main roads don’t have to be barriers. In the Netherlands, safe cycling infrastructure lets people of all ages easily and safely navigate through a motorway junction. It’s possible, if we choose to make it so.
