In the early 1920s, like many other railways, the L&P bought 6 ex-WDLR wagons for their own use. 5 D class wagons and 1 H class tanker. The opens got board extensions and block buffers for quarry trains,whilst the tanker was only given draw-hooks. Only two Ds would be brown. #L&P #portethwaite

So, I've been playing around with 009, and by playing I mean going to town on this Meridian Models Talyllyn kit. It's running on a modified N-drive chassis and was certainly a fun project from start to finish. A nice little diversion that totally won't lead to more 009 antics...
