Hello! I'm a small scale pottery enthusiast who comes from a career as a physical oceanographer in the Atlantic and Arctic Oceans. I make pottery inspired by the fragile beauty that we are desperate to continue destroying. I create so I can try to live a normal life amid this chaos.

I enjoy making pet portraits. This one was my first attempt using oil paints. I usually use pastel pencils. I’d like to start advertising for pet portrait commissions, but I have no idea what to charge. I can get a pastel artwork done in maybe 2 days, but this oil painting took about 7 days. Advice?

British comics creator Becky Burke, on a backpacking vacation in the US, was nabbed by ICE and accused of being an "illegal alien." She's been in one of their gulags for 11 days and counting! I hate this fucking country.
