I'm back to working on TSAF!!! I've registered it for the October Nextfest, and I'm hoping to the demo as polished as possible! I'm planning to have 4/6 characters available, online, arcade, training, and 2/5 campaign stages playable.

Fixed some stuff with replay saving, worked on refining Quick Match, and made it so launches will only wall splat once their horizontal movement exceeds their vertical movement. Still unsure about the last part, but it didn't feel kinda bad to get a launch too close to the wall to get much off of.

Finished with all gameplay additions. Working on QOL modes like Trials and Replays. Replays are done. Trials are in progress. There will be 6 per character, starting with strings, then launches, then wall combos.

The second set of new moves have good low evasion and are performed with Up-Forward + Punch. Good movement is preferred for avoiding low attacks, but these should help out players who are more unsure about how to deal with them. #gamedev #indiedev #fightinggame #godot #fgc

Working on new moves. Side-stepping is strong, but it can be it can be tricky to execute quickly. So now you can do an attack with a side-step built in with Up/Down + Kick. It's more committal than a side-step but can save you in a pinch! #gamedev #indiedev #fightinggame #godot #fgc

GB has been a nice little break from TSAF, and I've learned a lot making it. I've still been hard at work on the campaign mode, but obviously working on GB means less time spent on TSAF. It wasn't my intention, but I think making GB with end up making TSAF a much better game due to all I've learned.

Running out of stuff to do for Genki Break lol. I'll do another pass on menu sfx and then maybe add some new moves. I might add more little things like taunts and easter eggs too. We'll see what I can do in the upcoming weeks. I hope to make it the most polished little nugget of a game it can be.

Made few more mockups, and did a little touch up for the Junpei ad to make it less direct and more referential. I got a few more made too, but I'll keep those a secret to been seen in-game. All of these are made in blender :) #gamedev #indiedev #fightinggame #blender #fgc
