On one hand, I am happy that SGDQ has plenty of people available to volunteer. On the other hand, feeling not so good that I was selected to volunteer in 2023, and rejected in 2026. It's easy to wonder why and feel like I'm not "good enough". Still, there's freedom in failure.

I am reminded of my grandma, the only one of the two that cared about me, and how she put my mom through so much mental abuse she nearly had a complete breakdown and how she never treated the rest of us like that. God I hated that duality so fucking much and how I couldn’t see it.
