On a whim I decided to read part of the journal I kept when I went through a traumatic breakup many years ago. I was surprised at how I felt while reading it it - where I used to feel like I was revisiting an awful experience, now I feel sorry for the me back then. An interesting feeling.

Traded in a bunch of Limited Run stuff to my local video game shop (i.e. NOT gamestop) and I had like $670 in a gift card as a result. Hoping to round out my collection of NES games. Still need Mega Man 2/5/6, Contra, and Kirby's Adventure.

Also turned off that goddamned annoying needless auto-correct-my-spelling-as-I-type in Safari. It kept small-casing "Mini" in "Mac Mini". For how much I prefer Apple, these autocorrect things are stupid across their platforms.

FINALLY got my UPS working again with my Mac Mini so it emails me when the power goes out. The USB-B to USB-C cables I plugged in were fine, but apparently it's too much for the bus to have my RAID drive and my UPS cables plugged into neighboring ports.

At this point it's like this, my computer recommendations are based on if you have a smartphone and what kind: If you have an iPhone: Get a Mac. The apps are similar. You will easily adjust. If you have an Android: Run Linux Mint on your existing computer. If you have a flip phone: You're cool.

I've settled on Linux Mint as my linux distribution of choice. I have it installed on two MacBook Pro's and a ThinkCenter PC. All three of those machines aren't supported by Apple or Microsoft (or Lenovo for that matter) anymore. Linux Mint makes them run as good as they day they came out.
