Yesterday, my teenage son explained to me that while it's true that he usually doesn't want to go to any of the places I invite him to and he is only going to ignore me once we get there, that doesn't mean that he doesn't want to go so that he can just be with me. OK. I think.

Because coming up with a cool way to dispose of a body was the catalyst for writing this story, it took me a while to realize that, now that I have an actual story, I don't need this cool way of getting rid of a body. It doesn't fit anymore. But it has served its purpose.
