Interesting Bebe’s Kids fact: Paramount required Bruce W. Smith to make it PG. When the MPAA hit it with a PG-13, the reason was “tone”. Smith thinks in 1992, they weren’t ready for an in-your-face family-friendly African American animated film, and feels it’d be PG today.
