There is a lovely man who was working in the Pistons media room food services area on Weds night. They knew there was a tear and there were attempts to let it heal gradually. But the fluid inflammation makes things less stable and then it was aggrevated/re-injured in Phoenix.

Walker Kessler's surgery will be tomorrow in Los Angeles. This was an injury he'd been battling/nursing for a while and the recent development of bursitis exacerbated the situation and then he reinjured the labrum in Phoenix.

The shoulder injury has been an issue for a while and Walker and his camp knew that it would likely need to be repaired at some point, but it became clear that it was a more immediate need in recent days.

Can confirm that Walker Kessler will miss the rest of the season.

I think there's an important distinction between how these two teams react to this game. For the Celtics, every play between them and a win matters. For the Jazz, every play, even if they lose matters.

For the third straight game, the Jazz played like they are a bunch of washed up old guys. No energy, no effort, and failed assignments. There use to be a guy on the team that helped fend off those things. Without Collin Sexton, the Jazz need someone to be the energy guy:

I think that criticizing Hardy's defense is fair, and it's something that has been done. I and we (Jazz beat reporters) have written extensively over the past 3 years about the defensive problems. But there have also been examples of the players doing well on that end, so a lot of it is about effort

Let's be totally honest about the players on this team. There are nine players from the last three drafts on the roster, the odds of them all having a future in this league are very, very slim. Yeah, I think you should maybe come to terms with that probably being the case.

"strong offseason" is just words. We didn't see them play real teams and play any real defense until the season started. The accountability is pulling guys when they are sucking. But then you guys get mad when that happens. Mad when they play and suck, mad when they're pulled cause they suck.

Same injury. It was bothering him in games even when he came back at the end of preseason. Think it's probably also notable that the left arm is the one that Walker hurt at the start of the 23-24 season, though at the time I think it was his elbow that was the issue and this time it's the shoulder.
