My kids had a two hour delay this morning due to weather and I can confirm it is a thousand times easier to get a 16 year old up and out the door by 8:30am instead of 6:30am. Meanwhile, my 9 year old was hanging around aimlessly until 10:30 having been up since 6:30 😆

The new school year is almost here and I have a newly licensed 16 year old who will be driving himself to and from school. This is both amazing and terrifying! 😅

I enjoy reading the different parenting perspectives shared by these women. The articles are thought-provoking, funny, and heartfelt. I have been a mother for 18 years but am still learning and open to new ideas. I also am reassured that I am getting some things right! 😅

Survived my 20th anniversary trip to Disney with my husband, our 5 kids, my sister, dad, and stepmom! Drove hours to get there, walked so many miles in 90+ degrees heat for days and still had a wonderful time! Returned to California Grill for our anniversary dinner and everything was amazing 🥰

My 4 year old has been allergic to eggs since his first try at 6 months old so I have barely had eggs in the house the past 3 years. We are now at the stage where we have to challenge him with baked egg but he doesn’t like the taste even disguised in muffins. If only he knew the price per egg. 😅

Happy #WorldDownSyndromeDay ! My family has been part of this amazing community for almost 18 years. My son has brought me so much love and joy and given me a new outlook on what is most important in life. I would not be the same person without his impact. I am so grateful and lucky to be his mom.

Tomorrow is #WorldDownSyndromeDay! The 21st day of the 3rd month, aa people with Down syndrome have 3 copies of chromosome 21 instead of 2. We wear “lots of socks” to celebrate. Bright, funky, mismatched (not odd!), because different is good, and because chromosomes look a bit like socks 😊

I’ve barely cooked the past two weeks because I have been so sick. My kids have loved all the take out and quesadillas and pasta, but I’m excited to finally serve my family a healthy meal tonight where the vegetable isn’t jarred tomato sauce and the protein isn’t cheese. 😂

My kids were playing hair salon with me and my 11 year old daughter excitedly asked when I got fairy hair put in. 🫠 I had to admit out loud to her and to myself that I have not had any put in and that I have a noticeable amount of grey hair 😆

On #Survivor whenever Jeff Probst says “hey apply to be on survivor” I think yes I would love to do that. Then I remember I’m 44 years old and also three of my kids still cry when I leave to go to the dentist 😂😭

My three year old thinks “snake” is spelled “snake+” because he loves playing the snake.io+ game on Apple Arcade. A little too much screen time perhaps but at least he can kind of spell something 🤷🏻‍♀️ “S-N-A-K-E-plus that spells snake” 😂
