, an image I took last week of the Vikos Gorge in northwestern Greece. Sculpted over millions of years by the Voidomatis River, the chamois I startled flowed like a river too, rippling across scree with electric energy: a current, a course, a torrent. So at home in the skyrise heights.

There are few pictures of underarm (lob) bowling ... this is Geoffrey Kevill-Davies bowling to Ian Akers-Douglas in the nets at Eton in May 1928. Looking on is Eton coach George Hirst. Kevill-Davies never played for the Eton XI. Akers-Douglas played 60 first-class matches, mainly for Kent

Another lost outground ... the Private Banks ground at Catford was one of the best club grounds in the south and was used by Kent for Championship matches between 1892 and 1921 - the one pictured is v Gloucestershire in July 1905
