What do you guys find immensely helpful when drawing with other people's reference sheets that not everyone includes? I always find textual notes very helpful, it helps me decipher what is and isn't stylistic and also points to details that are particularly but not obviously important.

Slowly getting more comfortable with poking my head in random comment sections. I still feel like I'm walking in on someone else's conversation but we're getting there.

Actually I might do goretober but just for concept doodles. I can't art fast enough to do even full polished sketches but I could get the idea across good enough and get back around to them at a later date. We'll see though. Motivations rough.

Honestly, the best way to make an artist’s day is by being very specific about what you like about a piece. Geek out a lil. Gush over how they use line, color, texture. Every mark is layed down by the artist, so if you can connect with those little moments, it helps the artist feel seen.

I do understand why ppl worry about the new guidelines but … ❌ Spamming UNTAGGED nsfw will NOT change anything nor does it prove a point – it does the opposite: It proves the point that ppl arent diligent in tagging NSFW so u can't trust them with labeling things by themselves to keep minors safe

Everyone please just set up on Newgrounds already. For this reason, but also everyone really should just have a dedicated gallery for their art anyway without the extra noise of social media, and this is a good, easy place to do it.

That specific artist frustration where your own character is ever-so-slightly off-model in such a hyper-specific way that you cannot see what's wrong, all you know is the doppleganger staring back at you is not fooling anyone.

Never underestimate the power of putting tiny, random, singular objects in your artworks, they do so much more heavy lifting than you think they do. People don't need to notice it for it to be there and adding to the overall piece.
