Oh yeah, it's a manga thing! I feel like I don't see it as much in new ones I pick up, but it could be generational depending on the artist. A quick search in Japanese shows ppl calling it フキダシの内側(に)しっぽ or フキダシの中にしっぽ which both basically mean "balloon with the tail on the inside"

Sadly, I'm convinced my PS5 is just a POS when it comes to 4K releases. I know Arrow releases have had problems, but I put in the WB Superman 2025 release last night and it crapped out with an error after ten minutes, just like those releases. Just sucks.
