Shocking moment today: Got told by the pediatrician today that I should open a bottle of prosecco to celebrate that our son was now through his full first set of vaccinations. Apparently is not that common anymore that people let their children be fully vaccinated 🤯

In our @dfgpublic.bsky.social funded research grouop we use this system in our lab to see how Candida albicans adapts to the different host stimuli we expose it to.

For our first post, we would like to share that we are enjoying how our live-cell imaging system (Funded by the state of Thuringia and co-funded by the EU) can use a neuron tool to quantify fungal hyphal growth. See the paper by Wurster et al. who established this journals.asm.org/doi/epub/10....

This week my group started to work in our new labspace at the Leibniz-HKI after a lot of restructuring and reorganization. Happy we can finally get some experiments done in the new rooms.
