I’m grateful for the gains made in interdisciplinary theological work, as my own work in disability theology has benefitted from this. However, in the impulse towards interdisciplinary work, we see how hard it is to bring two disciplines together simply because of the breadth of knowledge required.

Wrapping up my grading for intro theology and one thing that is striking is how many students want to make theology primarily about us. Few seem comfortable ending without a practical application to live out. Something to work on, I suppose (which is not a critique of practical application!).
