They're trying to turn our country into a White Christian ethno-state. Where if you are the "wrong" race or the "wrong" religion, you are a second class citizen. We won't let them.

Reminder: this passed in a Republican trifecta state with bipartisan super-majorities in both chambers. This is a bipartisan, common sense issue. If we can get it done in Oklahoma, there's no reason we can't get it done everywhere.

The protests look like the real America — not the homogeneous, ahistorical America Johnson and his ilk want for us (and are desperate to pretend existed).

And Barrasso, the #2 Senate Republican, chose to single out American Atheists in his floor speech Thursday attacking #NoKings as an implicit endorsement of the Christian Nationalist worldview that atheists are inherently un-American.

Nick Fish of @atheists.org says his group is a #NoKings sponsor but not leading it in any meaningful sense. "The simple presence of atheists, to some of these people, is viewed an un-American. There's nothing more American than protesting our leaders and demanding better."

According to Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso (R-WY), the "No Kings" rallies are being led by "far-left activists" like #ResistTrump and... American Atheists.

What a trash headline. Employees could ALWAYS pray in the workplace. This memo allows coercive proselytizing, potentially creating hostile work environments for rank-and-file staff when their supervisor starts trying to "persuade [them] of the correctness of their own religious views."

Today's split decision allowing the OK Supreme Court's ruling to stand is a stark reminder of the knife's edge that religious freedom — contrasted with exclusionary White Christian Nationalism — and public education are balancing on in America.
