Turntable update: so I upgraded from my entry-level Audio-Technica AT-LP60X to an Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB. Was relatively easy to set up and my problem with certain LPs was immediately solved. The album that was skipping all over the place is playing perfectly right now!
