I genuinely hope this isn't just glossed over as yet another round of fandom drama; this is a serious case where a marginalized person gained a sizeable following, and used their identity and the language of social justice to mask real abuse they've dealt to others. We need to be familiar with that.

It needs to be said, don't play any guilt by association games in regard to Ren, do not immediately start attacking people who are following him. Try to contact those people quietly via DMs, and let them know. Now is not the time for witch hunts, it's the time to get informed, so people can be safe.

By the by, remember that bsky still hasn't fixed the stupid thing where you still show up as following even if you blocked a person IF you didn't unfollow first. Unfollow, then block. This also means don't take the follower list at face value.
