Absolutely nothing wrong with that. I like pointing and going "I understood that reference!" I struggle doing it for myself because I struggle VERY hard with self control and moderation. I either do way too much or too little. And ESPECIALLY if it involved my own work. Too much of a perfectionist.

Yes but also no. When it comes to other people's work I am FAR more lenient because I enjoy them differently than I enjoy my own work. A story can take as long as it needs. Be it short or long. But if a story suffers from being too long or short, that's when points get docked.

Not anymore. I have a favorite DnD character I would reuse if circumstances are right, but the stars would have to align (HAH) for that to work. At this point I am working towards building characters to fit settings and games. Too often I've let characters run too long and get bad as a result.
