These are retro games that came out in that transitional phase between CRTs and LCD screens. This modern mini PC has VGA out. Here is Guilty Gear AC +R, KoF 98 UM FE, Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code, and Mega Man 9. (Sadly MM9 doesn't go 4:3.) Pics don't do them justice. They look great!

I never watched to be "best resolutions on a CRT TV" guy, but I've sadly become this guy. . . I thought I had Mega Man 9 on the Wii, but it turns out, I no longer do. . . . And while I could play it on Legacy collection or on my PS3, Wii via component is supposedly the best looking version ! !
