The Mets don’t really deserve to make the playoffs but imo I personally deserve the Mets to make the playoffs and that overrides it.

I don’t care that the teens these days all wear band t-shirts of bands they probably don’t listen to, but I very much care when I see several teens together and their t-shirts don’t match up. Sorry but if you truly loved Anthrax you’d want nothing to do with that kid in a Three Doors Down shirt.

According to Tom Homan, for the crime Tom Homan allegedly committed, Tom Homan should have his citizenship stripped away and be renditioned to a foreign prison without receiving due process in the courts. Sorry, Tom Homan, but those are Tom Homan's rules.

Investing $13 in a CD meant committing to listen to it a bunch, during which time songs that did not initially catch your ear sometimes emerged as lifelong favorites. Streaming means there's no reason to stick out a song that doesn't grab you immediately, so catchy songs endure more than good ones.

IMO, the best pitcher in MLB at any given time should be known as "the Pedro." Clayton Kershaw had a 7-season run as the Pedro. Jacob deGrom was the Pedro for 3.5 years. Paul Skenes is the current Pedro. One minor issue with this title is that it kind of looks like Pedo.

Chris Jones was clutch af. Guy only hit 12 homers total with the Mets and four of them were walk-offs. One of my favorite dudes on my beloved horrible 1995 Mets. I wrote the gd sample size song no one lecture me about clutch stats.

OK good, now someone go back through the broadcast and find something silly in the crowd or dugout and call the Mets’ attention to that thing. That silly thing you found is now the Mets’ 2025 Rally Thing, and they will ride that rally thing straight to the playoffs.

I passed an open manhole in the middle of the street in Brooklyn this morning so I called 311 and it immediately turned into a Monty Python sketch. If the city’s aim was to have me just not bother and/or close it myself next time, it succeeded.

I understand why players aren't eager to talk about it, but I'm always interested in where guys choose to live in NY. Lots of young Mets used to live in LIC (maybe still?) at a complex the team had some deal with. Veterans often go to the Great Neck area. Manaea always seems very relatable and cool.

Am I too optimistic, or is Trump scheming on behalf of Andrew Cuomo the best possible thing for Zohran Mamdani? Cuomo’s whole thing is “eyy I’m a tough guy who’ll stand up to Trump, listen to my totally real, not-affected accent,” so all Mamdani needs to say is “he’s the one the fascists want.”
