Streets are calling him HickGOAT, Hickgod and Hickdaddy again This issue had basically everything I wanted. A great penultimate issue. Hickman will stick the landing. He basically always does. Trust 🙏

Just saw Tenet. After remembering how many called it underrated,... yeah, i kinda get it 🤭 Its ideas & concepts are kinda more interesting than the execution & scale we see & some action is amazing while others are wtf's going on But, the last 10 mins sealed it for me 8/10

Just saw Wake Up, Dead Man Another stellar, visually dynamic mystery that was so cathartic to see be solved. Benoit Blanc is a memorizing lead as always & Josh Conner was a pretty great partner The suspects perhaps weren't this series most depthful but still very good 9/10

Batgirl #14 At times the book's pace can be a bit inconsistent but even through this is very action heavy, this issue is a interesting showcase of Cass's darker side & how being ensnared in the middle of this shadow war. It's nicely done, even if it's a bit drowned by the action

Absolute Wonder Woman #14 Beautiful. Badass. Amazing Powerful imagery that hammers how this Diana is a hero who opens the eyes of others while still having compelling internal fears. This great two-parter smarly reinforces these aspects of Diana as we're now gonna see her 1st hero team-up

With the current news about Magik let me show you something Tom Brevoort said about Illyana. I could never understand creators who hate fictional characters. Surely, as storytellers, you should be able to see the potential all characters have. Why work on these characters at all if you feel this way

My biggest fear for USM is that we know Hickman assumed USM would continue after Endgame, and now that we know it isn't, the last 2 issues have gotten delayed. How much of Hickman's original ending relied on it being open-ended and will making the ending more "definitive" be satisfying?

Yeah, I just don't get what everyone is seeing in this. The stuff with Maria's child could be interesting and I've liked the scenes with May for the most part but Norman and Ben's plots just feel old hat to me. JRJRs' art is better than usual but some of his storytelling choices are just odd

Finally saw The Fantastic Mr. Fox for this Fall I adored it! It's hilarious, gorgeous looking & a sweet tale that captures the look & feel of a modern, children's fairytale It's beyond charming & I see why it's called one of Anderson's best 10/10

Absolute Flash #9 We're back from the past & re-enter the present with Wally forming an alliance with the Rogue as more of this story's cosmic horror imagery appears I can get people wanting more Wally being a kid drifter rn, but I be lying if I said I ain't curious of what's next

Ultimates #18 For this series, I'd say this was a pretty perfect wrap-up of all the past two years of seeing the team planning, developing & growing the cause Camp's writing is poignant & blunt with all his messaging & the montages of this global uprising are sublime

Predator Badlands is another home run for the series! It's a fun, pulpy action flick with plenty of great setpieces, alien designs & Dimitrius & Elle turn this into a great emotional journey that explores & challenges this species traditions & strict hierarchy 8/10

Seen people defending this scene on The Other App™. The biggest issue with this isn't what MJ says; it's that it paints a picture that didn't exist. Peter and MJ's arguments never looked like this. Bickering about "being out late" just wasn't what those books were concerned with, for better or worse

Del Toro's Frankenstein A true masterful modern work that retains the heart of Shelley's melancholic, tragic tale with a myriad of beautiful & macabre imagery While a change or two felt like weak additions, everything else from the acting, scenery & themes were perfect 9.5/10

3 episodes in Fionna & Cake, I'm really fascinated by where this is going as it's less unclear than last season's & in some ways it is more depressing so far Just some good classic adventure time balance of casual humor with sad reflection and a bit of existential dread

Batgirl #13 Cass is entering a darker side as she's continued to be tugged between sides, showing the Grey nature of war, especially one filled with personal grudges. The action continues to be great & I can't wait to see more Also, gay people confirmed 🏳️‍🌈

Ultimate X-Men #21 Brilliant issue! Giving us more action & interactions between the main cast while also showing the tremendous strength of Hisako & the pathetic roots of Kageyama. I'll forever adore these X-Men. Their banter during the fight is great & Kanon finally gets a W!

#StarWarsVisions S3 is an incredible refinement of the mission statement of S1, a daring collection of Japanese animation creatively playing with many layers of Star Wars You can feel the animators & creators much more visually ambitious & confident storytelling 9/10

I like Absolute Batman but seeing Batman go apeshit on white nationalists would be more satisfying if the book explored Bruce's relationship with poverty in any real way. The left-wing politics in the book have felt like gestures rather than anything solid. The body horror aspect feels more realised

Forgot I had Absolute Flash #8 in my shelf 😭 A great flashback issue! Thawne & Barry's partnership (& maybe more?) was captivating to read, with so much of the lore dumps about this speed force & the discovery of it being very captivating, especially for a newbie like me

Finally read Absolute Wonder Woman #13 This run is banger after banger. I think one thing overlooked about Absolute Diana, especially critics, is her internal quest of understanding the world around her & herself. This issue definitively highlights that & it's fascinating to read
