MIO: Memories in Orbit, easy contender for Art Direction of the year. Yes I know it’s only January but this game is that stunning. It’s a must-play if you enjoy Metroidvania.

Massive thumbs up from me on MIO. The art and audio alone are setting a very high bar for 2026. Haven’t been this excited about a Metroidvania in a long time.

I’m officially 3 weeks dry. The scale hasn’t changed much but the mirror shows otherwise. Sleep schedule has been regular. Cognitive function is better. Energy and focus levels have been consistent. Definitely recommend an alcohol-free phase before and after the holidays.

My team was basically eliminated by the All-Star break so there’s no reason I should be this emotionally invested in baseball. Cut to this morning after staying up until 130AM watching an 18 inning game for the ages:

Our youngest turns 3 today and it's been way more emotional than expected. We're very fortunate to be parents to two healthy and happy kids but knowing we're past that time of seeing them go from potato to person is bittersweet. 2 was such a fun age.
